Chutney has been OBSESSED with her incision. So much so, that even with an E-Collar, then an inflated e-collar, then with the original e-collar and shirt over her legs, she was still able to rip out the top staple in her incision. She just would not leave it alone. Well I heard about this No-Bite collar while reading another blog about a dog who had the same surgery, so I tried to find one. I found one this morning from my local vet. Chutney hates it. She won't even go to the bathroom with it on, but it works! So it will stay on.
Besides the incision issue, Chutney is doing very well. She is still on 3 medications (antibiotic, narcotic-like pain reliever, and an NSAID). I noticed today that she is starting to put weight on her back leg. When she's not in the collar, she is very happy!
