Boston's Run to Remember 2011

Saturday morning we headed into Boston.  We met up with my cousin Margaret, the Stratis family (my runner partner & her family) and my Dad, 2nd Mom, and my (not-so) little brother Spencer.  We all hung out, swam in the pool, and then went out to Little Italy for a fabulous dinner at Cantina Italiana!  It was the best italian dinner I've ever had!!!

Sunday morning we got up and ran the half marathon.  Ryan, Allison, and I bared the heat (it was 77 when we started @ 8am and 82 when we finished) and completed the 13.1 miles!

I had wanted to finish in under 2 hours, but that goal remains just that, a goal.  I finished at 2:01:00, which is 3 minutes faster than my last half....But I think the weather had a huge impact on me.  So there you have it and I'm glad it's done!

After the run, we headed to find the ducks!!  Sayre's one request while in Boston was to find the duck statues from the Robert McCloskey book, Make Way for Ducklings.

Here we are!  One happy family Monday morning before we all left to return to normal life!

Holy roasting, Batman, you ran in some serious HEAT! I'd be happy just to finish without passing out. Congrats on another personal best, and you can just save your next PR for your home state, where it's guaranteed NOT to be 80 degrees in October! :-)
Cam't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!
