Okay, the pictures are really out of order so I'm sorry about that. We're building a shed onto the back of our garage. Here are some pictures to show you what's happening.
Here is a really exciting pile of stone that got delivered today. It's going to be the first layer of foundation (basically Ryan will dig out the footprint of the shed, the stone goes in that, and then concrete is poured on top of that = floating slab foundation).
Here are rhododendrons that were lining the back of the house (where the shed will be). Ryan and I (mainly Ryan) dug all three up and transplanted then over to this side of the house where we couldn't grow grass because of the lack of sun! They seem to be very happy!
This is a view of the rhododendrons from the front of the house.
Standing on the deck looking down at the shed footprint (it's 10x17).
Standing in the back yard looking at the shed footprint. The shed will be built over the door, that way you can walk from the garage directly into the shed.
A wider view of the back of the house. The gas tank is going to be moved once we're done. The deck railing closest to the gas tank will be removed, the stairs will be relocated to where the railing is, and a patio will be built in the area where the tank is. The grill will come down onto the patio and be up against the shed wall.
