After having numerous conversations with the vets we have decided to go ahead and treat Chutney for her thyroid disorder. I've picked up the medication and she will get her first dose this evening. We will take her back to the vets in 3 weeks to recheck her blood work...Here's to hoping this will be the answer!
Just to clarify, Chutney has hypothyroidism and will receive her first dose of synthetic thyroid hormone tonight which is designed to supplement for the body's naturally occurring thyroid hormones when they are not being properly produced.
