Seven Years Ago

Seven years ago....I was surprised to find out you were a girl.  I was a betting lady that you were a boy.  I was pleasantly delighted to find out that you were not just a girl, but that you were the best little girl for Daddy and I.  You were such an easy baby.  The story remains the same today.  You are a delight to be around.  You are kind, considerate, funny, and very creative.  You are a wonderful mixture of Daddy and I, but I'll admit you are a bit more like Daddy's family than mine.  You love making people happy.  You love to dance.  You are slightly reserved when you're not entirely comfortable.  You are wonderful.  

You will eat just about anything.  You love sushi, pasta, and ice cream.  You asked to walk to get ice cream tonight instead of a birthday cake.  You make our lives better every day and I'm very proud of you.

Last night when I was putting you to bed you asked me about presents and whether or not I had gotten them yet.  I said I don't know.  You wondered when I would have had time and you decided that it was while you were at school.  You asked where I put them in the house and then claimed that you wouldn't go look.  Yeah right!  I was the Queen of snooping and you are the same way!!!  I look forward to giving you your presents today and I hope you have a wonderful birthday.

You are an amazing little lady and you make us very proud!  Happy 7th birthday Sayre!!
