Okay, a brief word about Mrs. Heather Cuzzi (the one having the baby). She's a wedding / event planner extraordinaire - we're talking White House events & BIG weddings. So when Kris Dean asked me to co-host a SURPRISE baby sprinkle (you know, it's not a shower - just a sprinkle as it's her second) we knew it had to be done to the 9's and a surprise.
We rounded up 9 of her closest friends and made it happen. I transformed my screened-in porch into the dining room and set a lovely table for ten. The deck was transformed into a comfortable sitting area and a great fire was set on the patio. Kris put 7 arrangements together with flowers from Broadturn Farm. We had food catered by Dandelion Catering - one of Heather's favorite (she uses them for many of her weddings). For desert we enjoyed a lovely cake from Gorgeous Gelato - also one of Heather's favorites!
When she walked around the corner into the back yard and we were all there, she was truly surprised! Tears flowed and hugs comforted. She kept saying that she just wasn't use to people doing this for her! We got her good!! She is a wonderful friend and deserves the world.
It just feels good to remind people of that every once in a while. When you do, you feel pretty good yourself.
