Here's a recap of a few things:
1. My 15 mile run / the Half Marathon:
Well Sunday went okay. I ran it faster than I needed to at an average 9:30 - 9:40 / mile pace. I crossed the finish line and then immediately turned around to bang out 2 more. I felt great for 99.9% of the run. The inside of my left ankle hurt towards the end. When I finally finished I was thinking stress fracture to myself, but the pain has since gone away. I iced it Sunday for safe measure. Who knows. Where my water bottle was sitting on my back is VERY tender. VERY very tender. So from now on (since I didn't drink my drink away) I'm going to safety-pin my goo's to my spi-belt, put my iPhone in there as well (I LOVED listening to Pandora - Welcome to the Jungle Station) and just drink gatorade from the stops. So that's the plan as far as gear is concerned!!!
I ran 4.2 @ 10min/mile on Monday and felt really good. A few aches but nothing major. When I got home I iced my left knee, as that was the only think that slightly hurt. I have an appointment with my Neuromuscularskeletal Specialist (she's basically a chiropractor, BUT she went to medical school and is better than a chiropractor) Tuesday morning at 7:30am. I've seen her in the past for issues with my neck and is wonderful! I know she will put me all back in alignment and I should be completely fine by Wednesday (I'm also going to try and see her every other week until after the marathon). I also got on antibiotics Monday for this stupid cold / sinus infection / chest congestion thing that I've had since 9/13/12.
On Tuesday I did a boot-camp class with friends for my cross-training day which was awesome. I had a great appointment with Dr. Zoll. It turns out that my left rids were all out of alignment (probably caused during the yoga on Saturday) and my neck was a mess. So she worked on my rids and upper neck and I still need to go back next week to work some more. She was awesome and I feel a lot better. My neck still hurts a little, but my "running body" is great! I'm running 17 on Friday with my running partner, Cindy. It's a nice flat route and we're going to drop water / gatorade on Thursday so we don't have to carry it. It's an out & back route which we should be able to tackle with out any problems! Please be thinking about us from 9:30 - noon on Friday.
The antibiotics are working! I'm feeling about 90% and have reduced my nose blowing, etc. by about 80%.
2. Wyatt's soccer and Sayre's field hockey were both rained out this past weekend so no photos.
