So I made the kids 25 days of good deeds for one of their advent calendars. Here's a recap of the last few days:
- Write a letter to a family member (they sent a letter to my Dad & Sharon)
- Hold doors open for people all day long
- Bring in the neighbors trash cans (this was really funny as I sent them out to do this and then 20 minutes later I couldn't find them and the bus was here. It turns out they were up the street, about 8 houses away bringing in empty trash cans!)
- Write little notes or pictures for your sibling. Hide the notes from each other and then have fun finding them after school.
Today we need to bring a treat to an animal at the local animal shelter. It's been really fun and the kids love coming downstairs in the morning to find out what their good deed will be for the day. To be continued...
FYI It was nice and cold for a few days, making it really feel like Christmas. Now it's 55 and sunny...yuck!
