After the beach on Monday, we went over to Melissa's with the Nightingale's and spent the afternoon and evening in the pool. It was an incredibly hot day, so the pool was the perfect place to be and the company was more than perfect!
Tuesday morning Sayre had a birthday party for her dear friend Stella. The party was at her house and the kids had a blast playing in the kiddie pool, water balloons, and trying to stay cool. It was wicked hot. Tuesday night we headed to a friends boat to head out into Casco Bay for the evening. Weather interfered slightly (major thunderstorm) but a good time was still had by all.
Wednesday morning we headed to Vermont (again). We spent a quick 24 hours visiting with friends and family and it was perfect in every way.
Friday afternoon my oldest (as in time, not age) and dearest friend, Lauren came for a quick 24 hour visit. We had a great dinner at the house Friday night, a leisurely morning Saturday, a great lunch in Portland on Saturday with a quick walk around the Old Port. She left Saturday afternoon, but not before we took a few pictures (to document that she was actually in the State of Maine!)
