Wyatt's room renovation

Ryan and I have been saying for years that "Wyatt's room has a really high knee wall, there has to be a ton of space back there."  We've been toying with ideas: put book shelves in, put dressers in, build a sleeping nook.  Ryan came downstairs last Tuesday morning and said let's build Wyatt a sleeping nook in his room.  So we did.

Wednesday we cut the hole in the wall to see how much space we actually had to use.  We measured the space, put our supply list together, and ordered the stuff from Hammond Lumber.

Thursday everything got delivered.

Friday I took everything out of his room and started painting some of the trim.  Nothing in Wyatt's room has been painting or changed since the house was built in 1993...It needed some sprucing up!

All day Saturday and Sunday we worked on his room.  It's awesome.  New sleeping nook, complete with book shelf and light.  The room is painted and the ceiling is painted.

I still need to finish painting the trim and do some touch up work, but it's 95% done and he loves it!!
