Oh What A Day

Today's weather wasn't all that awesome so we headed south to Key West for the day.  We started the day at Mel Fisher Maritime Museum which was really neat - $500,000,000 worth of treasure discovered at the Atocha wreck site!  Pretty amazing!

We then walked down the street to Caroline's Cafe for an amazing lunch and a few equally amazing drinks!

Ryan and I passed this guy rolling cigars.  So yup we bought a couple.  To be enjoyed tomorrow once the wind dies down.  (About the weather, today is the only day where it hasn't been 85 degrees with a ton of humidity.  It will be back tomorrow and we will have a great last 2 days at the beach)
...Just a cute photo opp for the kids!
During the bus tour on the last weekend of the campaign I was in Fort Kent, the northernmost point of Route 1.  So of course I needed to head to the southernmost point today!

We then walked over to this little slice of heaven.  Such an amazing bar, filled to the brim with character.  I could have spent hours here.  I just loved it.

The trees in Key West are so amazing.  Just beautiful and filled with life.  Looking at the trees reminds me of a puzzle where you have to guess which trunk is connected to which tree top.  Nearly impossible to figure out but really fun trying.
Once back at the island.  This happened.  Twice.  Stove-top popcorn for dinner.  Perfect after a long day of being a tourist.

The outdoor kitchen / bar is our favorite place.  Tons of places to sit, relax, and just be together.  Perfection.
